The plans of this alliance include projects in Nevada and the southeastern United States.
GA-Solar Sierra Nevada and North America Corporation today announced a new joint venture to produce renewable solar energy in Nevada and nearby states. With this alliance, both companies will be responsible for design, construction and disposal of PV installations for its customers.

GA-Solar and SNC expected to develop its first project in the course of this year. Current plans foresee the construction of three energy centers in Nevada and the development of photovoltaic energy for federal, state and municipal as well as the military, Native organizations, and public utilities.

Both private business and family's cultural and similar views on the development of renewable energy. Also, the two have made this project a great experience in this field. GA-Solar is one of the largest and most experienced suppliers of solar energy in the world, while its partner contributes its expertise in developing and producing great products and programs, this being his first break into this sector.

Jorge Barredo, Director General of GA-Solar, said that "the development of solar energy outside Europe will be very important and we understand that the United States will be one of the major poles of growth and development in the coming years" and CNS is a leader in the development of technological applications in the commercial sector and in the army, strongly established in USA, which gives us a quick exposure to the American market and a strong platform for growth. "

Greg Cox, VP of Sierra Nevada Corporation, believes that "renewable energy and energy efficiency have been gaining popularity in Nevada." In addition, GA-Solar is a leader in the production of photovoltaic energy and a great partner with a broad and extensive experience necessary to help us enter this growing energy sector. "

For its part, the director of SNC-GA Solar, Rich Donohoe, says that "the renewable energy market is growing because both state and federal governments are beginning to encourage the development of renewable energy production and to determine the level of production energy that should occur. " According to Donohoe, the U.S. market for this type of energy is the world's largest and "we are fortunate to be a region that possesses the necessary abundance of sun, wind and geothermal activity in the production of renewable energy."

As for the European market, GA-Solar has developed and implemented 200 MW of photovoltaic and thermal solar in Spain and Italy since its incorporation. In Italy, currently is undertaking the construction of various projects in several regions: 11MW in Puglia, in Salerno 3MW or 1.3 MW in Bologna.
