G.A. SOLAR INVESTS € 120 million to build two photovoltaic plants
• The facility added a total of over 20 MWp.
• The investment has been made by "Project Finance"
G.A. Solar closed a major operation for the construction of two photovoltaic plants in an amount of 120 million euros, financed through a loan closed with Banesto, BBVA, Caja Madrid and La Caixa.

The total projected solar parks a total of 20.6 MWp. The first is located in Benahadux (Almería) and has a capacity of 11.7 MWp. The other is located in Calasparra (Murcia), with a total of 8.9 MWp. The entry into operation of both plants was in August 2008, entering into the RD 661.

With this operation, the largest undertaken by GA Solar until 2009, the company has become one of the reference companies in the solar business in our country. According to Jorge Barredo, Director General of G.A. Solar "to build these plants poses to our company as one of the many references to the photovoltaic industry, adding to this, construction of parks, we have participated in the construction of 150 MW last year, proving that we can carry out large projects by providing a high quality of our products. " On the internationalization process that is embedded in the company, the Director General noted that "we are focused on short-term projects in Italy and the U.S., opening offices in these countries but also developing projects and opening offices in different countries of Europe and Asia, including India and turbulent, we must also look at the medium to long term, that GA Solar does not think that has to close the door on any country, and we must seize every opportunity that presents viable anywhere in the world "

The investment was made through "project finance", a funding model that GA Solar has already used earlier in July 2008. At that time, the operation reached about 30 million euros and included two parks in Toledo, in Villanueva de Alcardete and Almoradiel of Puebla, with a power of 4 MWp.

Also last September G.A. Solar Fotowatio signed with the sale of four solar parks, two of them located in Calasparra, and the other two in Fuente Alamo, with a total of 32 MW, thus closing one of the largest sales transactions made within the solar sector .
